Dr Rebecca Tadokera
Hi, my name is Rebecca. I am the founder of ScieHealth, a Cape Town-based boutique medical and scientific writing company. I am a Ph.D. and public health trained scientist with over 12 years of experience in scientific research, the policy and advocacy industry, and more recently the medical communications industry.
During my tenure as an academic researcher, I authored nearly a dozen peer-reviewed academic publications and won several international research grants. At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, I was irked by the amount of misinformation that was circulating. Driven by a passion to communicate science effectively, I pivoted to science communication.
As a writer, I combine my in-depth scientific expertise, a passion for science communication, and creativity to craft accurate, compelling, audience-targeted content for a variety of clients. I have worked across several therapeutic areas including immunology, immuno-oncology, and infectious diseases.
At ScieHealth, we work with a team of freelancers, who between us have years of experience both in scientific research and scientific writing. Our target clients include professional health associations, communications agencies, and clinical research organisations among others. We deliver on both scientific and non-scientific outputs.
